My Time Is Coming very soon!!!
By the way I’m still looking for writers and bio’s or short stories for this site, yes this site is different from all other graffiti site some people may like it some people may think it sucks ass ,, but at least I don’t rip off other peoples styles and flicks and I don’t do Interviews ,I want Biography’s from the words of the writers mouth and fingers and not me asking then anything.
So far I’ve had some awesome writers do bio’s for this site and some up and coming cats which was cool.even some some cats from other countries , and they did all well.
So I’m still waiting for local Ny’ers to do a bio for this site I keep on asking and I keep getting the same answers it’s coming , I’m busy, I got you bro, and so and so on.. give me a break!
It should take you about 20 mins to a half hour to do a bio it’s simple write about how you started and who influenced you and so on when did you start his this is not rocket science it plain and simple
Just send me your bio 1 -3 paragraphs long 5-10 pics OF YOUR WORK! correct your spelling and that’s all I’ll take care of everything else
Even A story Of Your’s Will Be Nice
If you dont like me for some reasoe or you dont wanna do one , then don’t tell me you wanna do one that shit is LAME.
Some Of you people know who you are And I don’t forget ..have a nice day
I hope I can do lots of work this spring and summer and do these characters and pieces I been doing in my pads,
I just Need The Right Place.
And now the Poll For Fun!
I’m Looking For Writers To Do Bio’s Like This For This Site
Luis “Zimad” Lamboy began his career as an artist in the South Bronx where he was born and raised. His first pieces were what some would call awful, others would call a crime, and what he and his peers called graffiti.
After years of using the subways and street walls of New York City as his canvases, Luis stepped his game up into the mainstream. Finally his work was being recognized by the art community.
In 1982 he was included in a group exhibition at Fashion Moda New York City, titled “The South Bronx Show” where his work stayed on exhibition for three years. Fashion Moda was the first gallery in the world to take graffiti art onto a legitimate stage. Fashion Moda was founded in 1978 by Stefan Eins. Fashion Moda spotlighted such artists as David Wojnarowicz, Keith Haring, Lisa Kahane, and graffiti artists like Richard Hambleton, Koor, Daze, Crash, Futura 2000, and many others.
With a degree in textile design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Lamboy designed clothing for singers such as Janet Jackson, Anita Baker, all the way to DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince as well as a children’s line of clothing that sold throughout the US. During 1987 he also worked on a variety of projects including the backdrop for Steam Pipe Alley, MTV, and a giant backdrop for DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince’s last tour.
After dozens of exhibitions and group shows all over the world, in 2005 Lamboy was filmed for a documentary by EAC called “From the spray can to the canvas”. Lamboy’s latest work includes aerosol can sculptures “Day of the dead” which are currently on exhibit in James Harper Fine Arts Gallery in Florida and in the Museum of Death in Hollywood California.
He is still involved with the fashion industry designing back packs, shirts and a jewelry line for several companies including Saks and FOTW; he has designed 4 pairs of limited edition Nike Air Jordans as well as two designer watches for Jacob & Co amongst other merchandise inckuding his own line of designer shirts and consumer items.
Luis has had several exhibits in Florida and New York and continues to exhibit throughout the end of the year including one at Rush Gallery for Bombay Sapphire in NYC and will have 2 simultaneous exhibits at the world renowned Art Basel festival in Miami this year. Luis and continues to exhibit his works wherever possible.
And Now For His Work!
